Leominster City Council approves zoning amendment for accessory apartments, blocks self-storage zoning. The council unanimously approved an amendment legalizing accessory apartments in compliance with new state law and rejected a proposal to allow self-storage facilities in the city's multi-use district, blocking a Horizon Storage Group development on Jungle Road. In other action, the council unanimously appointed Suzanne Koehler and Sandra Cucchiara to the Fall Brook Elementary School Building Committee and voted 5-3 to deny the Planning Board appointment of John J.
Souza. License renewals were approved for George's Fine Jewelers locations while a third license request was tabled.
