Conservation Commission · Meeting of June 9, 2026

Leominster Conservation Commission approves mountain bike trail expansion and riverbank stabilization project. The Commission voted unanimously to approve approximately three miles of new single-track trails at Pierce Street Conservation Area proposed by the New England Mountain Bike Association, which committed to long-term maintenance and agreed to have all signage approved before installation. In a separate 4-1 vote, the Commission approved the City of Leominster Department of Public Works' North Nashua Riverbank Stabilization Project, with Commissioner Nicholas Venti voting in opposition due to concerns about the long-term impacts of hard-armoring on the river's natural dynamics.

The Commission also granted Certificates of Compliance for completed restoration projects at 208 Pleasant Street and 699 and 711 Willard Street.
