Conservation Commission approves environmental orders for 2 major projects

Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 28, 2026

Leominster Conservation Commission approves environmental orders for 2 major projects. The commission issued Orders of Conditions for Fall Brook Elementary School demolition and reconstruction at 25 Decicco Drive, requiring a turtle protection plan and Conservation Restriction execution before project completion, and for drainage improvements at Burrage and Monoosnoc avenues with restrictions to the 100-foot buffer zone and low-water instream work protocols. Conservation Agent Jesse Averka will coordinate a pre-construction meeting regarding tree replacement at the Burrage Avenue project.

The commission continued hearings to May 12 on a mixed-use townhouse development at Pleasant Street and an EV charging station project at Hamilton Street, and ratified an enforcement order for unpermitted excavation at 10 Wildflower Road.
