Conservation Commission approves three environmental permits

Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 14, 2026

Leominster Conservation Commission approves three environmental permits. The commission unanimously approved Notices of Intent for Franco Realty Trust's two Wachusett Street projects—a new home at Lot 2 and renovations at Lot 1—and for Michael Johnson's safety improvements at 163 Pioneer Drive, which included a plan amendment to shift paved areas further from an adjacent brook. Vice Chair Richard Gullick noted no concerns with the Wachusett projects.

The commission continued review of Dean Mazzarella's proposed Fallbrook Elementary School demolition and reconstruction to April 28, noting the project's 120,850-square-foot riverfront alteration and proposed off-site Conservation Restriction mitigation.
