Leominster City Council confirms recreation director, advances FY27 budget to hearings. Benjamin Kiwanuka was unanimously confirmed as Director of Recreation for a three-year permanent term beginning May 12. Mayor Dean J.
Mazzarella's three annual budgets — general ($186.7 million), water ($6.98 million), and sewer ($7.19 million) — were referred to Finance Committee with public hearings set for May 26. The Council also approved $250,000 for Fire Department overtime, renewed two business licenses, granted National Grid utility permits for Marguerite and Hamilton Street poles, and continued two zoning amendments to June 8 hearings.
