IC Credit Union opens new Leominster branch in ribbon-cutting ceremony

IC Credit Union Ribbon Cutting · Meeting of August 25, 2026

LEOMINSTER — IC Credit Union opened a new Leominster branch with a three-part ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mayor Mazzarella joined credit union leadership and staff for the event, which organizers split into separate cuttings for civic officials, the board and senior leadership, and branch staff, calling employees "the faces of our membership." An unnamed credit union executive thanked project partner Solidus and city staffer Melissa Tasca for their roles, and recognized employees including Chief Operating Officer Brenda Carmelo and Senior Vice President of Operations Carolyn Perla, who could not attend. Remarks credited to Mayor Mazzarella recalled longtime employee "Norman" and a decades-old town labor contract that let municipal workers leave 15 minutes early on Thursdays to bank at IC Credit Union, saying "nothing changes the relationship that you build with your customers."
