Leominster closes city offices and library for Independence Day

Saturday, July 4 — City Hall, the Leominster Public Library, and all municipal offices are closed today in observance of Independence Day. The library's regular hours — Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. — resume Monday, July 6.

Monday, July 6, 10:00 a.m. — The library's summer programming picks back up with Aquapuffs!, a 3D art activity open to kids and teens, running from 10 to 11 a.m. at Leominster Public Library, 30 West Street.

Monday, July 6, 2:00 p.m. — The Reptile Nook brings a walk-through animal program to the library from 2 to 4 p.m., giving kids and teens a hands-on look at live reptiles.

Monday, July 6, 6:30 p.m. — The Leominster Writing Group meets from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the library, open to adult writers of all levels.

Monday, July 6, 7:00 p.m. — Chess Club convenes at the library from 7 to 8:45 p.m., welcoming adult players.

Tuesday, July 7, 10:00 a.m. — The library hosts BINGO Blast! for kids and teens from 10 a.m. to noon.

Tuesday, July 7, 10:00 a.m. — An English Conversation Class for adults meets from 10 to 11 a.m. at the library.

Tuesday, July 7, 2:30 p.m. — Buildwave®, described as a supercharged building experience, runs from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. for kids and teens at the library.

Tuesday, July 7, 4:00 p.m. — Teens can compete in Teen Tournament Tuesday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the library.

Tuesday, July 7, 6:00 p.m. — The Alzheimer and Dementia Caregiver's Support Group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library.

Tuesday, July 8, 10:00 a.m. — A Sensory Bin Story-Time on the theme of Construction Zone! is scheduled for kids from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the library.

Tuesday, July 8, 5:00 p.m. — Registration opens for the Creative Choices Before and After School Program for the 2026–2027 school year, available from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Space is limited; families should visit their child's elementary school page on the Leominster Public Schools website for details.

Thursday, July 9, 12:00 p.m. — The Brown Bag Book Group discusses The Guardians by John Grisham from noon to 1 p.m. at the library.

Wednesday, July 15 — The city hosts a Semi-Final Soccer Watch Party. Details on location and time are available on the city's events calendar at leominster-ma.gov.

Saturday, July 18 — Bohemian Night at Carter Park (Noche Bohemia) is on the community calendar. Check leominster-ma.gov for full details as they are posted.

Sunday, July 19 — A Final Soccer Watch Party is scheduled. Watch the city calendar for time and venue information.
