Leominster Conservation Commission elects new chair, clears expired filings. The board unanimously approved certificates of compliance for two DEP environmental filings, voting 6-0 on each: one for Mass Electric Company maintenance work never started on the Pleasant Street right-of-way, another for a car dealership expansion at 495 Main Street never built. Chair Chuck Raymond announced his resignation effective upon adjournment, with the board voting 5-0 (Stephanie Quinlan recused) to elect Quinlan as his successor.
Quinlan informed commissioners she expects to take maternity leave beginning in June 2026, during which Vice Chair Richard Gullick will serve as acting Chair. The commission is advancing a revised local wetlands ordinance based on Commissioner Jordan Vachon's review of 19 similar municipalities.
