Leominster Sets Friday Ribbon Cutting for Joly's Cafe
LEOMINSTER — The city will mark the opening of Joly's Cafe with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this Friday, Aug. 14, kicking off a stretch of new business openings that continues later this month with Cornerstone Caregiving.

Leominster will cut the ribbon on Joly's Cafe, a new downtown business, this Friday, Aug. 14, according to the city's event calendar. It is the first of two ribbon cuttings the city has scheduled this month; Cornerstone Caregiving gets its own ceremony Aug. 19.
The city also posted a new set of frequently asked questions covering its Flamingo Express program this week, though the announcement did not detail what the program entails beyond directing residents to the FAQ itself.

The Leominster Public Library has lined up a run of new programs for young patrons this month. A meet-and-greet with a visiting cockapoo named Penny and the reopening of Tween Book Boxes registration are both set for Sept. 1, while the "Kindness in Bloom!" program for kids runs Aug. 25. The library's monthly interactive storytime series, Strega Mama Presents, returns Aug. 17 with an installment featuring the character Oona, ahead of a Sept. 8 edition themed around "We're Going On a Bear Hunt."
