Library Adds Pop-Up Storytime, August Craft Programs

LEOMINSTER — The Leominster Public Library is rolling out a fresh slate of summer programming heading into August, with a pop-up storytime this week and new craft sessions for kids and teens on tap for early next month.

TOWN HALL

City Hall continues to point residents toward the newly opened Downtown Public Parking Garage and ongoing updates on the Monoosnoc Brook Stabilization Project, both flagged on the city's homepage as active items for downtown visitors and residents tracking infrastructure work. The city also has posted FAQs for the Flamingo Express service and for residents operating home-based businesses, guidance department staff say is meant to clarify recent rule questions.

SCHOOLS

Leominster Public Schools remains focused on summer logistics, with updated summer busing schedules posted for Fall Brook, Johnny Appleseed, Leominster High School and Northwest, the Johnny Appleseed and LHS versions carrying July 10 update stamps. The library has a pop-up storytime set for Friday, July 31, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., part of its ongoing children's programming. Kids and teens have a busy stretch coming as well: a "Light-up Camping Shadow Boxes" craft session with Julie Harrold runs August 3 from 10 a.m. to noon, the same day magician Stevie Kidding performs for kids at 3 p.m. On August 4, a "Dragonfly Trinket Dishes" mosaic-craft program runs 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., open to both kids and teens, with a Teen Tournament Tuesday session following at 4 p.m.
