Planning Board approves spray booth special permit
Planning Board · Meeting of February 2, 2026
Leominster Planning Board unanimously approved a special permit for a spray booth and body shop at 127 Mechanic Street, with applicants Pedro and Estefano Nario planning to convert a building portion with no expansion to the footprint. All city departments approved the application, with board approval conditional on compliance with state Department of Environmental Protection regulations and departmental comments. Code Enforcement Officer Luke Beaulac reported no neighbor complaints and noted the applicants are advancing required hazardous materials and air filtration plans.
The board also appointed John Souza as Chair and Carol Vittorioso as Vice Chair for 2026, and recommended four traffic study locations to the Unified Planning Work Program targeting key city intersections.
