Police appropriation approved; zoning hearings scheduled for May

Leominster City Council approves $27,910 police appropriation and processes administrative actions. The council voted unanimously to appropriate funding for the Police Department's superior salaries account from the Collective Bargaining Expense Account to cover the remainder of fiscal 2026. Board and commission reappointments for terms through April 2029 were approved, along with business license renewals for three secondhand dealers and a bowling alley.
The council approved three National Grid utility pole permits while scheduling hearings on zoning petitions from the Spanish American Center and Brooks Pond Realty Trust, with the Spanish American Center's request to reclassify a parcel at 132 First Street into the Business B district set for May 11 at 6:15 p.m.
