Leominster Recreation Commission receives updates on capital projects, welcomes new youth baseball programs. The Commission learned that the Colburn Pond Dam project is moving toward bid phase, with construction anticipated in late spring or early summer, and that the Mass Trails Grant work is progressing with the All Persons Trail construction set to begin in spring. Leominster Little League President and District Administrator Rob Lora presented new partnerships with the NorEasters and North East Eagles Baseball Organizations, which will operate under the league's oversight and use Little League facilities at American Way and Bernice Avenue.
The Commission also recognized Director Lisa Comeau on her retirement after more than 20 years of service.
