Walk N Roll Parade Set for Downtown Leominster Saturday

LEOMINSTER — A Walk N Roll Parade is set to head through downtown Leominster on Saturday, Aug. 22, adding a new stop to a civic and library calendar that keeps filling out heading into Labor Day weekend.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The city's Community Events calendar lists a Walk N Roll Parade for Saturday, Aug. 22, joining a run of downtown activity that also includes Starburst 2026 and another Downtown Sounds concert that same weekend.

The Leominster Public Library is expanding its adult programming for late August. A Hand and Foot Scrubs Workshop for Adults is set for Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a Film Night for Adults on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The additions come alongside the library's ongoing Drop-in Game Afternoon, Chess Club and English Conversation Class offerings for adults this month.

COMING UP Wednesday, Aug. 19: The Leominster Housing Authority holds its board meeting, and the library hosts a Drop-in Game Afternoon for Adults from 1 to 4 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 20: The library's Teen Movie Thursday features "Gravity Falls" and a junk journals activity from 4 to 6 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 21: Priest Street Elementary hosts a playdate for incoming students from 2 to 3 p.m., and teens can join a Custom Jenga program at the library from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Monday, Aug. 24: The City Council holds public hearings on five planning petitions, and the library's Chess Club meets from 7 to 8:45 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 25: The library offers an English Conversation Class from 10 to 11 a.m. and a Kindness in Bloom program for kids and teens from 6 to 7 p.m.
