Leominster Library Hosts Film Night, Craft Programs This Week
The Leominster Public Library rounded out the week with a full slate of in-person programming for adults, teens and children, while the city's downtown parking garage continued operating following its recent opening.
TOWN HALL
The Downtown Public Parking Garage remains open to the public, giving drivers new access to parking near the city center, according to the city's website. The city also continues to field questions about its home business regulations, with information on the parameters for operating a home business posted for residents.
The Department of Public Works continues to provide updates on the Monoosnoc Brook Stabilization Project, with residents encouraged to check the city website for the latest on the project's components.
SCHOOLS
Leominster Public Schools continues to post updated summer bus schedules ahead of the new school year, with revised routes for Johnny Appleseed Elementary and Leominster High School posted July 10. The district's alert regarding the First Student bus strike remains posted on the district homepage as families prepare for the fall semester.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Leominster Public Library's adult events this week include Film Night for Adults on Thursday, July 30, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Kids' programming the same day features a Drop-In Craft session, "Floating Beavers!," from 10 a.m. to noon, and a Tween & Teen Crafternoon making galaxy jars from 3 to 4 p.m.
Teens also have a Movie Thursday screening of "Tuck Everlasting" with a craft from 4 to 6 p.m. on July 30. Looking toward Friday, the library will hold a POP-Up Story-time from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on July 31, the same day the city's Downtown Sounds concert series continues on the calendar.
